Dancing on The Ceiling

This is a British recording of a song from a play, Ever Green, that would be made into a musical movie a few years later. The old-fashioned word in the lyrics 'counterpane' means 'bedspread.'

Note: There is another oopsie gaysie version of the same tune performed by Bert Maddison & His Orchestra, though the vocalist is unknown (to me) and I have been unable to find a recording on the internet.
